The Friends of the Park Association of Knox, Indiana is a 501(C) 3 Non-Profit Organization set up to support and help meet additional needs of Starke County Parks.

Future projects could include additional lighting, slides, swings, grass and trees. We have discussed a gazebo or a band shell if funds and interest is available.

We welcome everyone to stop by and help us to help the community.

Our Purposes:

  * To raise the level of community awareness  of the Parks of the City of Knox and Starke County.

* To recruit and organize the human  resources needed for the tasks for an independent, non-political action committee for the parks' benefit.

* To identify and prioritize the immediate and long-range needs of the parks.

* To tap every possible means of financial support for all  parks.

* To provide for a highly visible, ongoing, tax free depository for gifts for all parks.

* To promote the health, recreation and physical education of children and families in the Starke County & Knox community.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Knox Harvest Festival for the past 6 years.

The Friends of the Park will not be sponsoring next years festival. Contact the Knox Mayors office for more information on the 2012 Festival.

Without your support, the festival just wouldn’t be that great.
