Helping to make the Knox Parks even better.

Knox Parks are open and free to everyone

Welcome to the Friends of the Park of Knox Indiana. We are 501(C) 3 Non-Profit Organization set up to support and help meet additional needs of the Knox Park Board.

Our current project is to add an SKATEBOARD PARK to Wythogen Park. We are currently accepting donations for this project. The Skate Park will cost about $50,000 when completed. We have Phase 1 and 2 done. To complete the project will cost about $10,000 for Skatelite covering.

Future projects could be additional lighting, slides, swings, grass and trees.

We meet on the first Monday of each month at the Knox Girl Scout Cabin at 6 pm. We welcome

everyone to stop by.

Our Purposes:

   * To raise the level of community awareness

of the Parks of the City of Knox to Starke

County & the surrounding counties.

* To recruit and organize the human

resources needed for the tasks for an independent, non-political action committee

for the parks' benefit.

 * To identify and prioritize the immediate and long-range needs of the parks.

* To tap every possible means of

financial support for all city parks.

* To provide for a highly visible, ongoing,

tax free depository for gifts for all city parks.

* To promote the health, recreation and physical education of children and families

in the Starke County & Knox community.
